KONNER METZ/STAR DEMOCRAT九色视频 鈥 Police have arrested two Cambridge men and an Easton woman in connection to a bank robbery earlier this month.
On June 2, Easton police asked for assistance identifying a man suspected of robbing BayVanguard Bank on Idlewild Avenue. Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of 31-year-old Deondre Williams, of Cambridge, along with two others alleged to be involved 鈥 21-year-old Makhyla Jenkins, of Easton, and 20-year-old Jeremiah Carter, of Cambridge.
All three are charged with first- and second-degree assault, armed robbery, firearm use in a violent crime, handgun on person, reckless endangerment, theft and conspiracy. Williams and Jenkins face handgun in vehicle charges, while Jenkins and Carter are charged with neglect of a minor.
Police say around 2:30 p.m. on June 2, officers reported to BayVanguard Bank for a robbery. According to a press release, employees provided police with a description of a man who investigators later identified as Williams.
Williams demanded money from a bank teller and brandished a firearm, police said. He allegedly took a sum of money then fled on foot toward Idlewild Park. No employees were injured.
Easton police worked with the FBI to gather surveillance footage that allegedly shows Jenkins, the Easton woman, driving the two Cambridge men to Idlewild Park. Police say Williams left the vehicle, later returned with the money and was driven by Jenkins to Kelley Gibson Street, where he and Carter exited the vehicle.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence on Kelley Gibson Street they say is linked to the two Cambridge men. Police found 鈥渇urther evidence of their involvement in the bank robbery,鈥 a press release states.
Carter was apprehended on Monday in Easton after a foot chase, police said. Williams and Jenkins were arrested Wednesday in Cambridge and Easton, respectively.
All three were taken to the Talbot County Detention Center and are listed as being held without bond. Carter had a bond hearing Tuesday and has a preliminary hearing slated for July 7. Williams and Jenkins have bond hearings on Friday and preliminary hearings on July 14.
