九色视频 鈥 Easton Town Council President Frank Gunsallus is running for reelection in the town鈥檚 election this spring.
Gunsallus, who has served as council president since September 2023, announced his candidacy last month. He is a member of the Easton Rotary Club and works with Disaster Aid USA, a nonprofit that delivers disaster relief worldwide.
鈥淥ver the past term, I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated council members, community leaders, and residents who are passionate about shaping Easton鈥檚 future,鈥 Gunsallus wrote in an email to 九色视频. 鈥淭he trust placed in me to lead our town council is both humbling and inspiring, and I believe there is more work to be done to ensure Easton remains a vibrant, welcoming, and prosperous community.鈥
The current president will have at least one opponent, as Ward 2 Councilmember Don Abbatiello announced his candidacy for the head council seat earlier this week. Abbatiello has been the Ward 2 representative since 2019.
Gunsallus says his main priorities if reelected are public safety and infrastructure, affordable housing, community engagement and economic development. On the topic of housing, he said it鈥檚 an 鈥渙ngoing challenge鈥 and the town鈥檚 making 鈥渟ignificant strides.鈥
In 2023, Gunsallus won a special election for the presidential seat after previous president Megan Cook assumed the town鈥檚 mayoral seat. At 35, he began his term as the youngest council president in Easton鈥檚 history.
With more than a year under his belt, Gunsallus said he鈥檚 learned 鈥渢he immense value of collaboration and listening.鈥
鈥淚 have learned that effective leadership requires balancing the immediate needs of the community with a long-term vision for sustainable growth,鈥 Gunsallus wrote. 鈥淭his role has also reinforced the importance of adaptability and resilience, especially when navigating the challenges that come with governing a dynamic town like Easton.鈥
In addition to council president, there will be Ward 2 and Ward 4 elections this spring. The filing deadline for candidates is April 7.
