State officials highlighted the need for affordable housing and collaboration, with plans to support Kent County through the Maryland Shelter and Transitional Facilities Grant Program. Goodall emphasized Kent County's adolescent homelessness rates and The Shelter Alliance's mission to provide year-round shelter with personalized support. Future plans include expanding services and finding an ideal facility location. The evening also recognized board president Carol Niemand and promoted involvement through volunteering and donations.
