九色视频 鈥 After coming under new ownership last December, Wishing Well Liquors is determined to remain a fixture of Easton.
Alex Krynski, the new owner 鈥 though he prefers the title of manager due to being 鈥渁 big introvert鈥 鈥 said when the opportunity arose to buy the store, it was too good to pass up.
鈥淭he reason why we really liked it is because it鈥檚 a staple of Easton,鈥 Krynski said. 鈥淭hat鈥檚 why we鈥檙e excited, you know? I mean, it鈥檚 the big blue building on Route 50. Everyone knows it. Even if people who aren鈥檛 locals are just driving through, they remember the blue building.鈥
Wishing Well Liquors, which held a grand opening under new ownership last month, has served the Easton community since 1968, changing hands through a series of owners but maintaining an extensive selection of wine, beer and spirits. With a nearly 60-year history to live up to, Krynski stressed the importance of his team.
鈥淚t鈥檚 their knowledge that makes it really possible in terms of management because there鈥檚 so many different items in such a deep selection,鈥 Krynski said. 鈥 ... I surround myself with people a lot smarter than myself.鈥
Krynski is a life-long lover of liquor stores, having worked in quite a few and helping his brother with his own store before purchasing Wishing Well.
Krynski said maintaining what makes Wishing Well beloved is his top priority. The staff has remained largely the same as the previous ownership, and in some cases, even owners before that.
The wine manager, Philip Bernot, has been with the business for nearly 20 years and has been a sommelier since he was 21, though he began collecting wine at 15. Other employees recount coming in as children with their parents.
鈥淥ne of the employees, Dawn, I think she鈥檚 at around 30 years that she鈥檚 been working there,鈥 Krynski said. 鈥淪he鈥檚 been there through multiple transfers of the business. But what鈥檚 super cool is I could be like, 鈥榃hat was this for?鈥 And I can point at something in the building, and then she could tell you exactly what it is. I think that鈥檚 so cool.鈥
Repainting the outside of the building, fixing some outdoor signage and repaving the parking lot are just some of the minor renovations since new ownership took over. Krynski says the goal moving forward is to make small improvements while maintaining the crucial core aspects of the Wishing Well Liquors name.
鈥淚 guess the best way to put it is to spruce it up in terms of making it a little bit fresher, a little bit more comfortable, a little bit prettier, but not changing the fundamentals,鈥 Krynski said.
