DENTON 鈥 The Denton Planning Commission is finalizing site plan approvals for multiple businesses planning to come to the town.
Harper & Sons, a construction business located in Easton, and 7-Eleven are working on establishing locations in Denton. Building plans are still in the works for both businesses.
鈥淭hey鈥檙e waiting for their final site plan approval because it had some revisions that needed to be made,鈥 Donna Todd, the town鈥檚 director of planning and zoning, told the Star Democrat on Wednesday. 鈥淪o once the revisions are made, and then it gets resubmitted back to the town and for our final review, at that point they usually will submit their construction plans.鈥
According to Planning Commission meeting minutes from the July 27 the proposed Harper & Sons could potentially feature construction of two buildings. One is a proposed combined office and shop building with 4,802 square feet of office space and 7,288 square feet of shop/storage space. The second building is an 11,200-square-foot three-sided detached accessory structure.
The proposed location for Harper & Sons is 90 Engerman Ave., a parcel that is zoned industrial.
The proposed 7-Eleven could feature a 4,816-square-foot convenience store, a 2,029-square-foot canopy with two diesel fuel pumps and a 7,311-square-foot canopy with eight multiple product dispensers, with associated parking to be located at 1199 Industrial Parkway.
