RIDGELY — A house fire at a Ridgely home Friday left a family displaced, according to fire officials.
On Friday at around 1:50 p.m., a resident of the home on Oakland Road in Ridgely noticed a fire at the residence, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The Ridgely Volunteer Fire Company responded to the one-story, single-family home. It took 43 firefighters about 45 minutes to control the blaze, per the fire marshal.
The fire started on the exterior of attached garage of the residence. While no one was injured, the fire caused $80,000 in damages and the occupants of the home have been displaced, a fire marshal’s press release stated.
