RALEIGH, N.C. — Bella Scurci scored twice and Lacey Hoageson had a goal and two assists last weekend, leading the ShoreFC 18/19U Girls Elite NL team to a runner-up finish in their group at the CASL Showcase.
ShoreFC lost to NJ Elite 04/05s, 2-0, on Friday, defeated Pensacola Rush 04s, 5-2, on Saturday, and defeated Charleston SC DPL 04s on Sunday, 2-0.
Meadow Tesoro, Katelynn King, Kasey Wilson and Olivia Ryan each scored for Shore, with Tayler Flaherty (two) and Maddy Tapley (three) providing the other assists. Katie Knapp made 32 saves in goal over the three-day showcase and posted one shutout.
The CASL Showcase is one of the largest college showcases in the country, drawing over 500 college coaches every year. ShoreFC 18/19U Girls Elite NL is a travel soccer team pulling from the Eastern Shore Region of Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, and plays in the top showcases on the East Coast and in the National League Premier I league.
