Museum to host lecture by National Gallery curator
The Academy Art Museum at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, will offer the first lecture in a series of lectures in its Kittredge-Wilson Speaker Series — “Picasso and Others: Collecting Prints for the Academy” by Jonathan Bober, curator and head of the Department of Old Master Prints, National Gallery of Art. Bober will discuss challenges and focus on expanding collections for the modern museum, including the Academy Art Museum’s recent acquisition of Picasso and Rembrandt prints. The cost of the Kittredge-Wilson Speaker Series, which includes six lectures, is $75 for museum members and $100 for nonmembers.
